Important Security Update: Unencrypted IRC Port 6667 Disabled
Unencrypted IRC port 6667 has been disabled for security reasons. Please switch your connection to the secure TLS port 6697 immediately.
Attention Community,
As part of our ongoing commitment to safeguarding user data, we have officially disabled the unencrypted IRC port 6667 effective immediately.
Why this change?
Legacy connections via port 6667 transmit your login credentials and messages in plain text. This leaves your data vulnerable to interception and eavesdropping. To eliminate these security risks, plain text traffic is no longer supported on our network.
How to reconnect?
Please update your IRC client configuration to use our secure, encrypted TLS port:
Note: Most modern IRC clients will automatically adjust if you check the "Use SSL/TLS" box and change the port number to 6697.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our network secure!
