• Better security (SASL + cloaking)

Registration

Via website or in IRC:

/msg NickServ REGISTER <password> <email>

Then open the link in the email to activate.

Login / Authentication

/msg NickServ IDENTIFY <password>

Better: enable SASL so login happens during connect, and use PLAIN.

Change password

/msg NickServ SET PASSWORD <new>

Password forgotten

/msg NickServ RESETPASS <nick> <email>

Set vHost

/msg HostServ REQUEST <vhost>

Only once per week. Choose a neutral host (no abuse).

Security tips

• Use a unique password
• Enable SASL instead of identifying after connect
• Never share your password
